'He's a Man' is a song for alto voice taken from the musical 'Rising Sun' by British songwriter Tim J Spencer (PRS). 'Rising Sun' is set in a Japanese Women's P.O.W. camp at the end of the Second World War. In this song Abby, the main protagonist, has been alienated from the girls in her dorm room after she has been found with one of the prison guards. Unknown to the girls of the dormitory Abby and the un-named guard had a relationship when she first arrived in Singapore long before the war had started. She sings of her longing and her anger at what should be her life to make decisions. It is a powerful ballad for female voice. The MP3 is a demo with the composer's voice but is the key for the female voice as per the sheet music. The song is taken from the Tim Spencer Songbook.
