The title "Vignette" here is used in the literary sense of the word, although there's no solid concept of any kind aside from that implied by the title of each piece. They are simply a vague descriptive of a moment or mood.
There is no obligation to perform these as a suite, although for concert programming I thought that something faster and less pastoral would be in order, hence the scherzo for No. 3.
The mp3 file is a Sibelius playback with generic sounds so this should not be used as a guide to the organ registrations. These are specific enough in the score and should be adhered to as much as practical.
The Trois Vignettes would suit moderate to advanced players.
