Beim hier vorliegenden verhaltenen Satz „Pie Jesu Domine" aus Faurés Requiem op. 48, wird der originale Sopranpart im vorliegendem Arrangement mit großer Trompete gespielt. Die Achtelpassagen – Ruhephasen zwischen den einzelnen Melodie Abschnitten – sind einem Corno da Caccia oder Flügelhorn überlassen, welches Klarinette bzw. Flöte imitiert. Die Orgel ersetzt ein dezent begleitendes Orchester aus Streichern und Holzbläsern.
