Published by Samuel Wellman (A0.882074).The ninth and final entry in my series of Chopin-like etudes, using the keys he omitted in his own etudes. Actually, I must confess. Whereas the first 8 etudes do indeed mimic Chopin's style, for this final etude I couldn't help it: my own style, vaguely tonal but filled with crushing dissonances, dominates this piece. It is longer and more difficult than its predecessors, a juggernaut of sonorities that hurtles the poor pianist to total destruction. Not for the squeamish!
