They have their own technical requirements apart from acoustic instruments, and in many instances surprising advantages. The first two pieces are intended for cell phone or any touch screen (one-octave range). Pieces #3-5 are for two octaves such as midi keyboards, and the last three, #6-8 are for a five-octave digital keyboard. I had a lot of fun practicing on a cell phone and midi controller, and found myself learning new approaches to keyboard technique with these ubiquitous, portable devices. .
