By Angel Villoldo. By Angel Villoldo. Arranged by Ruben Yazyi. 20th Century. Score. 4 pages. Ruben Yazyi #925393. Published by Ruben Yazyi (A0.1339734).

Composed by Angel Villoldo. Arranged by Rubén E. Yazyi. Piano solo.

This easy arrangement for piano maintains the structure of rhythmic tango with some moments of milonga evocation, respecting the concepts of Argentine tango.

Rubén Yazyi, Argentine pianist with a great career as both a pianist and composer.

Choclo is the form of Spanish from the Southern Cone, of Andean origin, to refer to corn (the origin of the word is Quechua: "chuqllu" means 'tender corn' in the Junín variety). Villoldo himself said that he was referring to corn, for him the tastiest ingredient in the "puchero" (stew), but other explanations are also circulating, related to the nickname of a supposed compadrito whose hair was the color of corn or with a double meaning typical of brothel environments. where, it is said, tango was born, relating the word "choclo" to the phallus.
