"Trost" (Consolation): a simple, smooth melody for piano solo. A lullaby-like tune, serene but with a hidden sadness. The melody can recall classical / early romantic music (Mendelssohn or Schumann). Moods: romantic, hopeful, sad, meditative.

This piece is technically easy to play, but it possibly requires a certain expressive maturity.

The piece is in A Major, a tonality that the composer (Yours Truly) associates precisely with consolation and hope.

- simple (level: early intermediate)

- expanded (level: intermediate)
