You'll enjoy this flowing lullaby. You'll hear the traditional German folk song at the beginning, followed by a gentle waltz as Mary lulls her baby to sleep, ending with a whispered "Good night." A minor mode segment indicates Mary's meditation on the prophet Simeon's foretelling of future suffering. While not difficult to play, the intricate weaving in and out of offset melodic and harmonic lines adds interest to this piece.
