This work employs several programmatic elements by means of imitation and bird sounds, and its singing lyrical lines coupled with fast rhythmic figures tell a story of the birdsong, who awakens sleeping hearts after a long winter slumber.
Arranged for String Quartet, with notes of the birds' calls assimilated in the score to facilitate the imitation of the birds.
