The film won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival and established Legrand in Hollywood, leading him to have a successful career. The opening title theme is based on I Will Wait For You, the film's most popular hit, and this arrangement would be a brilliant addition to the repertoire for any woodwind quintet.
