Published by Peggy Carter (A0.945426).This "collage" of 18th and 19th century tunes and words might have been sung at an old time "Camp Meeting" which was a community gathering popular in the late 18th century and early 19th century, at which time people would come from far and near to spend the day and night singing the old Gospel songs and listen to "all day preachin' and dinner-on-the-grounds." The generally-accepted idea was, "Come Hungry, Come Thirsty" and feed at the fountain of life that never ran dry."
Appropriate for volunteer church choirs, especially Sr. Adults who love remembering the old hymns.
