By Johnny Mathis. By Erroll Garner and Johnny Burke. Arranged by Tull Glazener. 20th Century,Jazz. Individual part. 6 pages. Eagle Creek Music #862193. Published by Eagle Creek Music (A0.1269684).

“Misty” was written by Erroll Garner as an instrumental in 1954.   One year later, lyricist Johnny Burke added the words, but it remained relatively unknown until Johnny Mathis popularized the vocal version with his million-selling recording of it in 1959.   Since then, the tune has become a jazz standard and has been performed and recorded by hundreds of artists, including  Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, and Sarah Vaughan.

This mountain dulcimer arrangement requires both the 1+ and 6+ frets and is suitable for Advanced Intermediate and above level players.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
