About this Piano/Vocal/Guitar arrangement of “Another Love”

Tom Odell has written a great song in his hit “Another Love.” I have done this arrangement for Piano and Voice in my usual method trying to keep as close to the original as possible, aiming to simplify where possible while trying to keep true to the sound and feel of the recording.

Chord wise this is a very simple song, 5 chords essentially with some 7ths of the chords added in. The hardest thing is the syncopated motif which is fairly easy to accomplish with some practice. .

It is a simple verse/chorus structure with an interlude between sections and a bridge before the final chorus. This format lends itself well to using repeats to keep down page count in normal instances however it was not possible with this song. This is due to the fact that the accompaniment changes verse to verse and also that the tempo increases and the pace livens going into the second verse. In order to portray this using straight repeats was not going to be possible which unfortunately means the full score counts in at 12 pages.

The lead sheet, however, is only 4 pages and once the piano part is learned the chords on the lead sheet would be enough to accompany as the piano part sticks to the chord notes except for some passing phrases between chords.

If you like this arrangement a also have some other arrangements you might like, please check them out to support me in my arranging.
