Philip Rosseter was an English lutenist who lived from 1568 - 1629. He was appointed a court lutenist to King James I of England, a position which he held until his death in 1629. He is best known for a Book of Ayres whose preface was written by Thomas Campion. This original music for solo voice and lute has been arranged for SATB recorders and includes eight English ayres from that collection. This sheet music contains Ayre 05. If She Forsake Me. It is also available as a part of the entire 8-song collection titled Eight Songs from Rosseter's Book of Ayres for Recorder Quartet.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
