Published by Tiger Music (A0.750341).I wrote this trumpet duet arrangement of America the Beautiful to celebrate Independence Day (in 2020) because here in Texas we've been told to stay home due to a spike in the number of covid 19 cases. I would have normally had a gig on July 4th, but even the gigs that were rescheduled to July have been precanceled all over again. So I really felt compelled to do SOMETHING to celebrate our nation's 244th birthday.
I am making this duet part of our Trumpet Hymn Duet series. It is number 15 in the series.
Some people think of America the Beautiful as a song. Technically it's not a song. It is a hymn. Hymns are in strophic form and songs are written in what we call "song form". And indeed, a lot of hymnals do include America the Beautiful as a Christian church hymn. That's why we are including it in the Trumpet Hymn Duet series.
