Composed by Gustav Holst. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century,Christmas,Sacred. 19 pages. RayThompsonMusic #2150693. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.553378).

"Christmas Day" by Gustav Holst.

Originally written for SATB choir and orchestra, I have arranged it for symphonic brass quintet of 2 trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba.

(If your trombonist can play euphonium, I think it would sound better!)

It contains snippets of many Christmas Carols, cleverly interwoven together. It suits the brass quintet. (Also available for brass band (treble clef) quintet.

Contains the following carols:

  1. Good Christian Men Rejoice
  2. God Rest You Merry Gentlemen
  3. Come Ye Lofty, Come Ye Lowly
  4. The First Nowell
Plenty of fun for each player.

including "In the Bleak MidWinter" for brass quartet.
