MARGARET, composed in 1884 by Albert L. Peace (844-1912). The lyric and the melody work well together to express a tender, reverent contemplation of the love of God. The duration is about 2:49. The vocal part should be sung essentially sotto voce, as in quiet prayer. Although I have listed this arrangement as intermediate (the vocal range is only one octave; the melody, though beautiful, is easy to learn), singing it well in sotto voce will require some secure technique and will make the piece more difficult.
