May I make the world a better place,
Greet each one I meet with smiling face,
Add beauty to each spot I go,
Gratitude for thy creations I will show.
May I make my sphere a cleaner space,
Reflecting the cleansing of Thy atoning grace,
May I serve others who are in need of care,
That in Thy name, help others’ burdens share.
Though my time on earth may not be long,
Let me lead a soul from ways of sin or wrong,
May my footprints be firm in zeal and might,
Helping others always choose the path of right.
May I fill this world with music and joyful song,
May my words be truthful, sure, and strong,
I’ll strive to make the world a better place,
Till one day I’ll see Thy smiling face.
