Published by Janna Hoskin (A0.926694).“Pop!” was written in early 2016 for the “Klarinet Kerfuffle”, a day of workshops and recitals for clarinetists of all ages in Saskatchewan. It is a short romp with the folk tune “Pop Goes the Weasel”. The original version was written in 6/8 time. It was revised for the 2019 “Klarinet Kerfuffle”, and the new version is in 3/4 time. Both versions are provided here, and in its debut at the closing concert, some of the musicians played from the 6/8 version and others used the 3/4 version.

All around the cobbler’s bench
the monkey chased the weasel;
the monkey thought it was all in fun.
