This arrangement for SATB choir and organ (or piano) accompaniment is a new setting for the prayer from the Liturgy of Malabar. These lines are traditionally read by the Deacon (or sung) during communion. Stanzas 1 and 2 feature two different harmonizations, and the final stanza is sung unison, with a descant part. The words of this text focus on taking up work in God's service, and are therefore also appropriate for confirmation or ordination services. A very classical and melodic arrangement that interleaves some harmonies from J.S. Bach with the original tune. Accessible by most church choirs and keyboard players, this arrangement is an excellent addition to any traditional worship service.
