Composed by Stephen Collins Foster. Arranged by W. David Hedrick. Folk,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 14 pages. William David Hedrick #2025503. Published by William David Hedrick (A0.881486).

"Gentle Annie" is one of Stephen Foster's most haunting melodies. It was written in memory of a young girl who died tragically in a carriage accident. It is basically a folk song from the mid 1800s but has a beauty that audiences still enjoy today. The strings are written on an intermediate level with a beautiful and haunting cello solo. This arrangement is suitable for any concert venue and is a classic "Foster" tune. It is also suitable for competition and festival. The score contains all the string parts and the cello solo. The audio clip is a computer rendering in Finale.
