This is an arrangement for organ solo of Gregorian chant tune Salve Mater Misericordiae. The tune is heard in the right hand part while the left hand and pedals supply colourful harmonies around the tune. While the piece is written in the key of C major, the middle part touches Eb major key area before concluding in C major. This composition will be very effective in liturgical organ playing and recital programs whenever contemplative music is desired. Dedicated to Paulius Grigonis.
