Pure Imagination is a piece about always following your dreams, and the euphory that comes with it.
This arrangement for a trombone quartet is a great piece for any ensemble! All four of the parts are equally important. While Trombone 1 has the melody, and could be used as a solo piece, the arranger takes great care in ensuring every note across the quartet matters. The first half of the arrangment is reminiscent of the Gene Wilder classic, featuring a haunting "chorale" style. After a first trombone chromatic feature, the arranger switches gears, taking this classic melody and adding a happy spin to it. As the piece progresses, the melody is played with more and more until building to a satisfying finale! This arrangement shows off your ensemble's dynamics very well!
