In this final song of the cycle, the lover recognises her soul mate in one brief glance and realises their eternal connection. The accompaniment suggests the wave-like motion of the vast ocean over which the melody floats like a majestic ocean liner.
The work has been performed in concert many times by lyricist Désirée Regina and composer/pianist Margaret Brandman who have also recorded the song cycle for the ‘Songs of Love and Desire’ album on the JazzEM music label (MMP8041).
