A trumpet sounded forth, Calling men to arms: Prepare yourself for battles long, Protect all from danger’s harm. A trumpet sounded forth: “Raise the ensign high, Rally to the Standard Bearer, Yea, to the Lord on High.” His trumpet sounded forth, It will never call retreat: “Go forth in faith to meet the Lord, Kneel at His judgement seat.” A trumpet sounded forth, Proclaiming divine decree: The Gospel is restored to earth, So all men may come to Me. A trumpet shall sound forth, Calling all men from the grave When resurrected souls will sing, “Hosanna to the One Who Saves!” The trumpet sounded forth: “Prepare for the King to appear!” With songs of joy, we await that day, “Behold! Your King is Here!”.
