Composed by Gary Friedman. Children,Jewish. 6 pages. Gary Friedman #6465. Published by Gary Friedman (A0.889855).

Sophie Friedman, my granddaughter, wrote 4 short poems for school when she was 8 years old. I set these to music in the form of little children's songs. The 4 short (about 2 minutes each) are Halloween, Hanukkah (the only Jewish song), Cricket, and Winter-Summer Diamante. A diamante is a diamond-shaped poem starting with one word in the first line and ending with one word in the last line. The sound clip is of Halloween.sung by Paula Arciniega, mezzo-soprano, with John McCarthy at the piano. If you listen to Hanukkah, I think you will laugh. (Any proceeds that I get from selling these songs go to Sophie.).
