Published by Rita Arendz (A0.1001550).This evocative 1970's work was originally written for the piano. At the request of classical guitarist John Williams, Myers re-scored it for guitar. This version was then used for the 1970 film The Walking Stick. Jazz singer Dame Cleo Laine in 1973 wrote the lyrics He Is Beautiful. Producer Mike Deeley used it in the 1978 film The Deer Hunter.
This simple air is a wonderful addition to the smaller British Brass Band's repertoire as it works well with a minimum of 9 parts (11 players) up to a full band. Duration ~ 3:30.
