By Aa. By Alwin L. Jarreau, Jay Graydon, and Thomas M. Canning. Arranged by Phil Kan. Contemporary,Jazz,Pop. Score and parts. 70 pages. Phil Kan #110958. Published by Phil Kan (A0.496791).

Al Jarreau's 1981 hit, Roof Garden arranged for an advanced to high intermediate big band, with lots of room to feature Tenor 1 (and/or others) in solos. Tension is built through hand claps and rhythm section, before explosive full band shouts launch the full groove. Space is left for individuals to provide fills, using written parts or improvised as ability allows. A great piece that grabs attention to start or end concerts. Check out my other arrangements for Big Band, and feel free to contact me at pitdadphil@gmail.com for any questions, corrections, or alterations or comissions.
