In this new arrangement, based on the Berlin edition: Bote & Bock, and the Kalmus edition, the arranger Flavio Regis Cunha sought to follow Mascagni's intentions when orchestrating his Easter Hymn for full orchestra. There is nothing like this original orchestration, where there are creative and powerful passages for brasses and woodwinds and a string background during the middle section. The work ends in a majestic and grandiose way with the woods and strings in the high register, together with the beauty, the brightness and the impact of the Timpani and the brasses.
