With an exuberant opening, this song sets the tone for the entire work which includes vibrant and energetic passages along with more thoughtful and calm moments. The middle section is more fluid and homophonic with an emphasis on the comfort and mercy offered from the Lord. That is followed by a repetition of the opening bars moving into a to a rousing end. This work is excellent for any choral concert with strong singers and more advanced church choirs. Vocal ranges are within normal ranges for experienced choral groups.
