Pure fun !! This Galop and Waltz in Oom-pah style is in AABA form. The A theme is a Vivace 2/4 Galop, then a slower 4/4 bridge to repeat the Galop. Then the B theme is a brisk 3/4 Waltz, right back to the 2/4 Galop. This catchy tune is a rousing crowd pleaser for any concert or recital. Perfect for Oktoberfest ! Advanced Intermediate because of the always Vivace/brisk tempo and the need for controlled playing of the articulation which always varies from staccato to normal to marcato to slurred. Duet can be played on one 4 octave marimba, using the full range. Part 1 melody can be played with 2 mallets, Part 2 requires 3 mallets. 2 page score, 1 page @ part 2 minutes.
