By Jeff Bjorck. By John Wyeth. Arranged by Jeff Bjorck. 19th Century,Christian,Religious,Sacred,Traditional. Score. 7 pages. Pure Piano Music by Jeff Bjorck #849024. Published by Pure Piano Music by Jeff Bjorck (A0.1255518).

Jeff Bjorck's original solo piano arrangement of this classic hymn melody by John Wyeth is from Bjorck's album/CD "This I Know: Ageless Hymns of Faith." The lyrics to this hymn note how encouraging it is to "raise my Ebenezer" and give thanks that "Thus far, the Lord has helped us." Ironically, this hymn also describes being "prone to wander" away from God, in spite of His love. This latter phrase from the lyrics inspires the Christian to seek an ever closer walk with God, and so Bjorck begins and ends his arrangement with the portion of the traditional melody that accompanies these poignant words.
