Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Paul Taylor. Blues,Jazz,Ragtime. Score. 3 pages. Paul Taylor #5453689. Published by Paul Taylor (A0.803327).

Polly Wolly Doodle is an American folk tune (a nonsense song for use in social gatherings)  and has retained its place in the collective memory by being  covered by such artists as Leon Redbone, Burl Ives, Shirley Temple. The song  still appears in numerous musical  anthologies for children and community singing. Two verses and one refrain appear in this arrangement for the intermediate pianist. The style of this arrangement can be described as a funky blues style in the manner perhaps of Professor Longhair, a pivotal figure in early blues pianism. The tune is presented  in the key of G  and  F.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
