This emotive piece begins with heavy notes that ponder the struggles and obstacles we face in our trials, reflecting the verse, "Does the journey seem long, The path rugged and steep? Are there briars and thorns on the way?" Minor and major keys intermingle, and the melody yields to hopeful strains as the verse encourages listeners to follow the Savior, saying, "Let your heart be not faint, Now the journeys begun; There is One who still beckons to you."
