Composed by Camille Saint-Saens. Arranged by Lindsey James. Children,Classical. 1 pages. Lindsey James #645952. Published by Lindsey James (A0.1041219).

Ideal for the KS3 classroom, this tuned percussion arrangement of the lively twelfth movement from Carnival of the Animals, complete with letter names, can be played by pairs of students, small groups, or by a whole class split into two 'teams'. The repetitive rhythms are easy for students to learn and to play in unison, and the accented notes in the second part add an extra difficulty level and challenge for the ensemble. This piece would suit topics on instruments of the orchestra (percussion), or it could help to embed more general concepts such as rhythm, tonality and structure.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
