Published by Andrew Strawn (A0.995855).Composed as my submission to the Essentially Ellington Young Composers Competition, "Pineapple Tidbits" turned out very well. While one of my first large charts, it plays around with a fun theme and rhythmic hits capturing the delight of the namesake. Featuring a tenor sax solo and interluding piano solos, this work is a fun tune for any band. Regarding range, lead trumpet regularly plays high D’s and an optional F# at the conclusion of the piece; lead trombone plays several high Bb’s.
