Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by A. Willicombe (Minstrel Cottage Studio). Classical. Score. 1 pages. Anne Willicombe (Minstrel Cottage Studio) #6401487. Published by Anne Willicombe (Minstrel Cottage Studio) (A0.961718).

An easy piano arrangement of Beethoven's Ecossaise WoO 23, in the original key of G Major, for beginner piano students extending beyond a 5-finger position and including fingering.

The ecossaise was a lively dance in duple time, popular during the 18th and 19th centuries. The version of Beethoven's Ecossaise in G Major that is known today is actually an arrangement by Carl Czerny (a former student of Beethoven and a composer of many piano studies). Beethoven's originally composed the piece for wind band but the score was lost after his death. A performer remembered the melody and gave it to Czerny after Beethoven's death.
