This is one of the three compositions for handbell choir that I wrote in 2016, when I got to know this wonderful macro-instrument, possibly the only instrument in the world that is actually shared, that is constructed collectively.
 
Announcement of Dawn was composed in Bremen (Germany) on 18 January 2016. The piece was selected as a winner in the Windy Valley Ringers call for scores 2016, and received its premiere at the concert "New Life, New Music" held on 24th April 2016 at Ellensburg First United Methodist Church (Washington, USA).
