Published by Bronze:FX (A0.1307054).This arrangement of the favorite hymn tune “Jungst” is perfect for young ringers and beginning choirs, and its lack of special ringing techniques assures a successful performance for all early ability levels. Use it as a fanfare before the congregation sings the lyrics “While By the Sheep We Watched at Night.” Although the Christmas season is an obvious choice, this piece can be used throughout the church calendar year.
And if your ensemble is suddenly short a ringer or two, this arrangement includes flexible assignments to make your holidays remain merry. It is also ideal for holiday moments when your handbell choir is asked to perform with little preparation, and suddenly there are too few ringers (or extra ringers home for the holidays).
There are two versions included:
BFX-019a has assignments for 6-8 ringers playing 2-3 octaves
BFX-019b has assignments for 10 ringers playing 3 octaves
Complete assignments are enclosed, and the piece is Level 2 when played with the greater number of ringers.
