Moderately difficult piece for Bb bass clarinet and piano. This is a tonal composition, a theme and variations based on the tune "O Worship The King."


The tune was composed by Sir Robert Grant (1779–1838), a British lawyer and politician. He was the author of a volume of sacred poems, which was edited and published after his death by his brother, Lord Glenelg. This volume includes some hymns, of which the best known is "O Worship the King", based on Psalm 104.
