Composed by Stephen Foster. Arranged by Paul Taylor. Country,Film/TV,Folk,Standards,Traditional. Score. 2 pages. Paul Taylor #847762. Published by Paul Taylor (A0.1254168).

This piano solo is in the "saloon" style of the old west and is intended to be played as such: perhaps an accompaniment pattern that is banged out rather than "artfully" rendered, absurd tempo fluctuations and other traits are all welcome in this rousing Western classic. There is also a part where the winner's of the race dance in the winner's circle as well as an introduction that mimics the trumpet call at the beginning of the horse race. A galloping effect is also used after the race begins and the horses speed up. One verse of text and chorus are presented above the treble clef.
