The flute part is bright and lilting with the simplicity and clarity of a folk tune. The melody takes the form of A B A1.  The guitar part is composed in a style reminiscent of a folk singer’s "finger style picking" offset by a bridge section similar to renaissance period block chords.  Although the tempo never changes, the difference in styles gives the piece a feeling of tempo change – fast and light; slow, stately, and expansive.  The chords are simple.  There is an opportunity for the guitar player to work with five finger right hand technique if he/she so chooses. Duration is approximately 4.02.  Suggested fingerings for guitar included.
