Published by Effiny Music (A0.1021988).Eclecticism 1 for Sax Quartet (2002/2009) is a reworking of an earlier work Eclecticism 1 for Reed Quartet (ob, cl, bn, alto saxophone) which was written for, and premiered by the Eastwind Quatour d'Anches in 2002. It is rather typical of my style which eclectically draws from many styles and influences including jazz, serialism, modalism, etc., hence the title. Yes, there are other pieces named Eclecticism 2 and so on. The current version was written for and premiered by the Red Clay Saxophone Quartet. (Michael Burns)
