Composed by Erik Satie. Arranged by Trevor Wharton. 19th Century,Chamber,Contemporary,Film/TV. 37 pages. Bumpmusic Editions #846130. Published by Bumpmusic Editions (A0.1251910).

Gnossienne No. 1 was composed around 1890 and first published in 1893. It creates a sense of the otherworldly, and is often heard on television and in films, a perfect underscore to any curious on-screen happenings.

In this arrangement the sense of 'otherworldlyness' is layered over a more grounded accompaniment in the Baritone Sax and Drums. The other saxes try and tie the melody into the this more rigid foundation although crossing the barrier on occasion and sharing out portions of the melody.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
