It is eerie just before midnight, walking alone in the mist. Already spooked, it is easy to imagine being chased as the bell tower chimes their watch for more to come. Five trumpet parts emulate the Big Ben melody as the walking turns in a pace that build in suspense. Two trumpet voices create a chase scene that continues as the bells chime until the morning’s first light. As the sun rises and gradually begins to fill the sky with bright colors, the fears of the night falls away with the relief of the bell chimes signaling safety from being lost at midnight.
