It was introduced to collector Cecil Sharp by folk musician William Kimber at the beginning of the 20th century and had been popularised by a diverse range of musicians from Percy Grainger to Jimmie Rodgers. This very easy piano version is limited to single notes in each hand, and provides an attractive and effective result for beginner pianists.
