Giulio Cesare in Egitto (Julius Caesar in Egypt) is an opera in three acts composed in 1724 for the Royal Academy of Music and is loosely based on events during the Roman Civil War of 49-45 BC.

Justin Bland was arranged a wonderful suite of seven movements from Handel’s opera for Brass Quintet. Length of about 20 minutes and appropriate for advanced performers.

Instrumentation is for:

Trumpet 1 in B-flat and E-flat, Trumpet 2, Horn in F, Trombone and Tuba
