The bridegroom is a long time coming and they fall asleep. Then the foolish virgins with no oil go out to buy oil just as the bell chimes. The bridegroom arrives and the door is shut, only the virgins who were ready could go in for the wedding. When Jesus returns we too need to be ready and watching with oil in our lamps. This is the piano and vocal score.
