This gorgeous, flowing piano arrangement features complex yet intuitive rhythms in 12/8, supporting the fluid energy of the piece. This song is often used in the time after Epiphany and around Christmas too, and most especially during the Sunday of the Transfiguration and Easter. It makes for a beautiful solo for church services all year long, or just playing for personal enjoyment. If you like soaring Celtic melodies woven around ancient hymn lyrics for a haunting yet uplifting mood, this is the perfect song. These are the lyrics as found in the Lutheran ELW hymnal, translated by John Mason Neale.
