The lower part imitates an accoustic walking bass and the two parts have a playful interaction with some great rhythmic interjections from the piano. The narrator promises to be loyal to his true love because he "ain't misbehavin'" by staying out late or flirting with other women. The song was written for the Broadway musical comedy play Connie's Hot Chocolates.
